Backyards, Plaid and Beer, Oh My!

December 30, 2021

When you think of your wedding day, I would say more often than not you picture the elaborate outfits, lots of glam, sparkles and fancy dinners and lots and lots of debt. (At least that’s how I always pictured mine, my poor husband is a saint!)
What most people don’t think of is being comfy, in the comfort of their backyard shotgunning beer after the first dance. Rachel and Ryan decided to take the more laid back approach for their wedding day and this blog is all about the highlighted moment of how PERFECT this actually was.

Rachel was able to get ready from the comfort of her in laws living room. She had a small bridal party that consisted of her daughter and best friend and she was able to spend her morning relaxing, laughing and just soaking in the day with her best girls. Her soon to be hubby was getting ready just down the road and upon his arrival he had his matching groosman all with him – IN PLAID!

The ceremony took place in Ryan’s moms backyard where their entire family joined to watch them say “I Do”. It was a beautiful religious ceremony filled with prayer, love and tears. Followed by the most beautiful backdrop¬†for formal photos. October is the BEST time of the year for an outdoor wedding.

The arch where the ceremony took place was all built and decorated by their family. Decorations were set up and completed by the bride and even more family! This wedding had so much love surrounding it down to the very best details.

The night was then wrapped up with dancing, speeches and delicious food from the comfort of their very own backyard. They were able to enjoy all their favorite people in the best way and soak in the end of their evening with memories to last a lifetime.
